WHY MAKE ANOTHER SHIRT?
UNI/FORM approaches sustainability as a design problem rather than simply a choice of material.
Most garments do not disappear because the fabric runs out, but because they stop being worn. They suit only one occasion, only one body type, or cannot be repaired when a seam gives way.
A garment becomes more useful when it lasts longer, works for more people, works in more situations, can be repaired, travels less during production and is produced responsibly.
That reasoning produced eight dimensions of sustainability, and those dimensions gave the shirt its form: a half placket, no back yoke, French fell seams, bound edges, one colour.
With a familiar origin in the 1950s, redesigned for a modern lifestyle. The history is the starting point, not the visual theme.
One shirt. Designed for more.
