More than a shirt
A shirt made to be worn often, for a long time and by more people. Designed in Sweden, with fabric from Portugal and made in Lithuania.

One shirt. More occasions.
The starting point is 1950s shirting: a half placket, a straight fall, a garment made to work in. The cut has been reconsidered for contemporary life — the same simplicity, a modern fit, a construction built to be used.

MADE TO BE USED
Durability begins in the construction. French fell seams, bound edges on exposed areas and a back without a conventional yoke give a garment that moves with the body and withstands repeated washing and wear.
EIGHT DIMENSIONS OF SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is not a property added afterwards. It is the result of the decisions made when the shirt was drawn.
01 — MATERIAL
The navy shirt is made from 100% organic cotton. Material selection determines both environmental impact and how long the garment lasts: a fabric that withstands washing and abrasion needs replacing less often.
02 — DISTANCE
Production is kept geographically concentrated within Europe. Designed in Sweden, fabric from Portugal, made in Lithuania — shorter distances between the steps that make the garment.
03 — PEOPLE
Manufacturing takes place in factories with fair working conditions and fair wages. We do not state certifications we cannot substantiate.
04 — DURABILITY
French fell seams, bound edging, durable fabric and a construction that can be repaired. Wear it. Repair it. Keep it.
05 — UNISEX
One design made for women and men. The same garment should work across different bodies and different styles — which is why we do not split the range.
06 — VERSATILITY
Designed for everyday life as well as more formal situations. A garment that works in more situations reduces the need for specialised wardrobe purchases.
07 — ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY
Fritis is run as a cooperative economic association. Any profit is reinvested to improve the products and to support other initiatives working to develop and improve our world.
08 — DESIGN
By using a classic design that has stayed good-looking, relevant and worn for several hundred years, our shirt will never be hidden away — it can keep being used year after year.
